More than 3,000 Rockland residents signed Parietti’s petitions—twice the required number—reflecting broad support across the county.
Despite the overwhelming margin, Republican operatives attempted to knock Parietti off the ballot by filing baseless objections. “They hired a high-priced consultant to try and silence voters,” said Parietti. “But the signatures stood, and democracy won.”
Parietti expressed deep gratitude to the volunteers who helped make the campaign’s early success possible. “I’m so thankful to every person who knocked on doors, made calls, and helped gather signatures—this campaign belongs to all of us,” he said. “This is about fairness, independence, and giving Rocklanders a voice and a real choice.”
“Now voters can decide between entrenched political interests—or new ideas and real accountability for the future of our county.”
